구기정은 실재하는 풍경을 3D 렌더링 기반의 디지털 이미지로 재현하고 이를 물리적 공간에 영상 및 설치로 구현하면서 인간과 기계, 자연의 관계를 살피는 작업을 해왔다. 이 과정에서 디지털 기술로 가공된 실재의 풍경은 증강된 현실의 비 실제적 자연과 접목되어 실재와 가상의 경계에 위치한 모호한 감각을 불러일으킨다.

Gijeong Goo explores the intricate interplay among humans, machines, and nature by transforming actual landscapes into digital imagery through 3D rendering and translating them into images and installations within physical spaces. Throughout this process, real landscapes, replicated by digital technology, converge with virtual elements of augmented reality, giving rise to an enigmatic ambiance that dwells on the borderline between reality and virtuality. He has been actively exhibiting both in Korea and internationally, presenting solo exhibitions including «Contrology» (Hall 1, Seoul, South Korea, 2022) and «Virtual Writing» (Societiet.Sexyland, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 2017). He has also

participated in major group exhibitions such as «The City of Nam June Paik: The Sea Fused with the Sun» (Nam June Paik Art Center, Yongin, South Korea, 2025), «At The End of The World Split Endlessly» (Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul, South Korea, 2024), «Five Footsteps» (MMCA Gwacheon Children’s Museum, Gwacheon, South Korea, 2024), «SeMA Anthology: Ten Spells» (Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul, South Korea, 2023), and «The World of Transversal Materiality» (Arko Art Center, Seoul, South Korea, 2021).
